R&B Group Good Girl Performs Unreleased Track @ Sol Village

During Sol Village, a concert showcase presented by D'usse, SOB's, Gabriel Approves Media Group, & a few other outlets, R&B group Good Girl performed a new unreleased track titled "Gone Forever" to close out their set.

VitaminWater & Fader hosted their popular #Uncapped series at Gotham Hall in NYC. They invited some of New York's finest and influential tastemakers to come out and listen to a set by newcomer Vic Mensa & a surprise guest, which turned out to be R&B star Trey Songz. Power 105's DJ Envy was on the 1's & 2's as the guest DJ for the evening.

So So Def artist and YouTube sensation Dondria released the sultry holiday anthem "Ain't No Way" just in time for Christmas.

Written and produced by Tiyon "TC" Mack (Justin Bieber, Tamar Braxton) and Clint Productions, the emotional narrative describes Dondria's need to be with her true love during the holidays. She braves the array of Christmas music this holiday with a strong vocal and a new confidence all in the name of love.

PrimeTime is a love story based on the early adventures of Cindi Mayweather (Janelle Monáe) and her first love Joey Vice (Miguel.) The Emotion Picture gives a glimpse at Cindi's humble beginnings as a "cyber-server" at the Electric Sheep nightclub, a syn bar serving high-class "show droids" to the rich and lonely in a dangerous section of Metropolis known as Slop City. Incidentally, the innovative cybersoul music played at the club directly impacted Cindi, and she began singing and performing her own innovative compositions a short time after quitting this assignment. In addition, Cindi became determined to change the public perception of what an electric lady could be, dream and aspire to after working in the dismal conditions at the club.

Jay Z continues to change the rap game with new rules. His latest video "Holy Grail" becomes the first major music video to premiere on facebook.

"What we’re doing with Jay Z today is really exciting and we think emblematic of the evolution for music and how musicians can connect with their fans," says Nick Grudin, head of content partnerships for Facebook. "And we think that is particularly evident in Jay Z’s approach here, which will really allow him to go direct to a massive and instant global audience. We've got some exciting news to share with you all,  an artist we featured last year here on terrymcfly.com has officially been signed by TDE (Top Dawg Entertaintment). Congratulations SZA!

Top Dawg Entertainment announces the debut of their newest signee, SZA. Known for her airy coos and glitter-trappings, the Alternative songstress shares a snippet video to narrate the new affiliation.

SZA made her debut with her 2012 release See.SZA.Run. Her follow up EP S marked the first installment of her trilogy series, soon to be matched with Z. Her upcoming Z EP marks a progressive point in SZA’s career, experimenting with new wondrous sounds as showcased in her newest singles “Julia” and “Teen Spirit.”

The Wu-loving songbird draws from an eclectic catalog of influences like Björk, Coltrane and various Brazilian Jazz staples. This explains her natural ability to be emotionally provoking, while bending the confines of typical “genre’s.” As SZA likes to remind any hasty critics, she is not R&B, and it won’t be long before her Fall release Z affirms that.
