Supra Summer Tour 2012 Recap - NJ Skateshop

Last week (Aug. 28), The Supra brand skate team made a stop in Hoboken, New Jersey as part of their 2012 Supra Summer Tour. Skate legends such as Stevie Williams and Erik Ellington were amongst the pros headlining the Supra Tour. This event was pretty awesome, it was much more than I expected. The Supra team is very humble, they treated all of their fans as if they were peers and friends, which is very admirable. In the usual Terry McFly fashion, I will recap the event with a photographic timeline shot directly from my iphone.

The Street League 2012 Championship

This Sunday, August 26th... Terry McFly will be in attendance for the Street League Skateboarding Championship. The competition will be broadcasted LIVE on ESPN2 @ 5pm. Supra Footwear For Kids

The Supra Ellington

What sets it apart,” Erik Ellington said about his sixth signature shoe from SUPRA, “is if you walk into a store today, pretty much every shoe looks like a slip-on. [The Ellington] has that feeling of being simple, but at the same time it’s got a lot more technical features.”

The technical features of the Ellington begin with the lightweight, full length SUPRAFOAM midsole that is thicker in the heel for impact protection and thinner at the toe for better board feel. It rests upon a rubber outsole with sidewalls in the toe and ollie area. The mid top collar, as well as the molded, internal ankle pods provide support and a snug, comfortable fit while retaining movement. A SUPRAFOAM footbed, with mesh sock liner, gives comfort and impact protection. The herring bone pattern in the sole’s high friction areas supplies superior grip.

Supra NYC 1 Year Anniversary Recap (Photos)

On Monday, July 16th, SUPRA brand celebrated the one-year anniversary of the opening of the SUPRA NYC and SUPRA Paris retail stores with an event at their SoHo location. Music was provided by Party Supplies and the legendary DJ Premier. It was a great turnout, there was a crowd inside the store and outside the store. A few of the other streetwear brands even came out to celebrate and show support for Supra's 1 year milestone in NYC. As usual, I snapped a few shots on my iPhone to share with you...check em out!

Supra Footwear Line For Women

After six years of innovation in men’s footwear, SUPRA is thrilled to announce, for the first time ever, the launch of a line of footwear for women. The collection offers many of the iconic silhouettes SUPRA has come to be known for, but in new color ways and new materials such as sequin, glitter, animal print, foil, metallic, embroidery, and more. In addition to a full range of women’s sizes, each style was reconstructed from a new last that was created for a woman’s foot to ensure superior fit and comfort.

Go Skateboarding Day 2012

June 21st is National Go Skateboarding Day, I finally had the opportunity to celebrate the skater's holiday. I hopped on my board and trekked through Soho until I got down to LES Skatepark in Chinatown. LES was packed with skaters of all ages, everyone just finished coming from the the event in queens. There was a best trick competition for amateur skaters to compete and win cash prizes. There was also the usual abundance of skate merchandise giveaways.
