New Music: "Cupid" by Lloyd

I heard this song for the first time over the weekend, it was performed live by Lloyd himself at Rip the Runway and I was amazed, I think this is a great song.It's definitely a hit, Lloyd's album is sounding great so far....

Rip The Runway 2011 Preview

Last night, I attended the filming of BET's Rip The Runway 2011, which featured performances from Fabolous, Keri Hilson, The New Boyz, Lloyd, Wiz Khalifa, and Melanie Fiona. The show featured clothing from Rachel Roy, Laquan Smith, Lila Nikole, Man Vs. Machine, and a special line from Selita Ebanks. The show was hosted by Selita Ebanks and Mechad Brooks.

During the show, I interviewed The New Boyz, Miguel, and Wiz Khalifa. My interviews will be featured on BET.com which will then be linked back here, I also went backstage to interview a few of the designers. Take a look at some of the clips from the show and stay tuned for Rip The Runway, which airs March 21st on BET.

I think this is a pretty cool concept, when it comes to hard bottom shoes, the major problem I had was comfort. Here is a shoe that combines the comfort of a sneaker with the look of a dress shoe. They are available in black or brown and the retail is $180.

The men's Wexler is for the gentleman with discerning taste that will not sacrifice comfort. A shoe that looks as good with trousers as it does with denim. This modern and smart looking dress casual shoe has a soft premium leather upper, internal heel pad, with leather and dual layer 3D mesh lining to enhance comfort and air circulation. The dual-density PU footbed, leather outsole with rubber pods for added comfort and traction allow this dress casual shoe to feel like a sneaker.

Kobe Bryant is, "The Black Mamba"

All-Star weekend is here, a few days ago Nike finally premiered the Kobe Bryant movie/commercial directed by Robert Rodriquez, starring Bruce Willis, Danny Trejo and Kanye West. This lil mini movie is actually quite entertaining, it sure makes me want to buy a pair of those sneakers. It reminds me of those days when Jordan made celebrity filled commercials.

Fashion Week Fall 2011 Wrap Up: L.A.M.B Finale

Last night, Gwen Stefani showed her L.A.M.B collection, it was pretty amazing. She featured models from every ethnicity and the clothing was just pure creativity. I haven't had time to sort through all my photos yet but here is a video of the collection walk finale from her show.

Fashion Week Fall 2011 Wrap Up: Timo Weiland

Last Sunday, I attended the Timo Weiland Fashion Show. It was my first show for Fashion Week at the Lincoln Center, I was pretty impressed by the collection. It was like a living store display, once we entered the room, the models were standing still like mannequins. It was a pretty active event, the designers were being interviewed live on television and they also gave everyone a bag of goodies after the show. Inside the bag, was a wallet and some make-up -_- ....I'm gonna keep the wallet but obviously I have to give the make up away lol, check out the photos below:

Bin 23 Air Jordan Retro 5

This design is a first for the Air Jordan 5, they will be released on February 18th at select retailers. The shoes are black with white laces and they come with a special bag and matching shoe trees.

Here's a very powerful video from Raphael Saadiq, its a common story that's often overlooked. A man could be surrounded by all bad but be a good person lost in the wrong environment. Check it out, the song is pretty good too. This song is from his latest album "Stone Rollin" which will be released May 10th.

Chambray Vans for Spring 2011

This season, two popular models from the Vans collection will be released in chambray materials. We have the Van 106 and the Half-cab getting the treatment in blue and black.Personally, I think these are pretty interesting, I may pick up a pair once the weather lets me get back on my skateboard.
