Cadillac And Bose Debut The Centerpoint Surround Sound System With 2015 Escalade

Cadillac and Bose held a press event to introduce the world to the new centerpoint surround sound system that will come equipped inside of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade. The event took place in New York City and there was a live DJ on hand streaming music directly into the 2015 Escalade.

The all-new Bose® Centerpoint® surround sound system has been precisely designed and tuned for the 2015 Cadillac Escalade.  Combining the latest Bose technologies with 16 strategically placed speakers, the Bose system delivers a new level of audio performance for Cadillac’s most luxurious SUV to date.

The Bose Centerpoint sound system includes new speaker designs and electronics that significantly improve audio performance over the previous Escalade. It starts with Bose® Advanced Staging Technology, applied for the first time in a Cadillac, to create a wider, more spacious sound stage -- like the experience of sitting front row at a live concert.  Through a combination of Bose proprietary signal processing and five Twiddler® speakers placed across the forward cabin, music is reproduced with exceptional precision and clarity; vocals are centered, instruments are positioned to the left and right, and the sound stage is more expansive than ever before.

  • Four 1-inch tweeters -- one in each mirror patch and one in each rear door -- for precise high-frequency reproduction.
  • Two 5.25-inch speakers placed in each rear door to accurately reproduce a wide range of frequencies.
  • Two 2.5-inch Twiddler speakers, one in each D-pillar, adding musical depth for
  • rear-seat passengers.
  • Multiple bass sources for powerful low-note performance, including two 6x9-inch woofers -- one in each front door -- and a 5.25-inch Richbass® woofer housed in a 10-liter customized enclosure. Bose engineers designed the enclosure to fit under the front-center console to avoid infringing on the Escalade’s cargo and cabin space.
Overall, I had a great time at this event. There was an open bar and Bose information stations for those that may be unfamiliar with the brand's technological advancements.

I was interviewed by AutomotiveRhythms.com about my experience inside the 2015 Cadillac Escalade and previous experience with other Cadillac models. I will post that video footage once it becomes available.

I left the event with some pretty awesome gifts. Everyone that attended was gifted a Bose branded portable charger for their mobile devices. In addition to that, I was given a pair of Bose Custom QuietComfort® 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headphones

Such an awesome night! The Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound System is indeed "Terry McFly Approved!" and I can't wait till the 2015 Escalade is unleashed in a few months so that I can try it out cruising through these loud city streets.

P.S I just received an invitation to join the Google Glass family so pretty soon you will be able to enjoy events like this with me via live streaming.
