Music Monday: "A Hustlerz Ambition" Documentary by Young Jeezy

A day prior to the release of his highly anticipated new album TM 103:Hustlerz Ambition, Young Jeezy and VEVO release a 44-minute unedited documentary. I've heard the new album and its definitely one of 2011's greatest offerings.I've been following Jeezy's career since his Boyz In The Hood and BMF days so I think that this documentary is definitely worth checking out, especially for you viewers that may not be familiar with the authentic background of Young Jeezy.

VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul 2011 Recap (Photos)

Last night, I attended the taping of VH1's "Divas Celebrates Soul 2011", which airs tonight at 9p/8c on VH1. The show is a tribute to the top cities of soul music which includes Detroit, Chicago, Memphis, London, & Philadelphia. The biggest Divas in entertainment highlight the show with one of a kind performances. A few of the big name performers are Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Florence + the Machine, Anita Baker, Mavis Staples, Jessie J, & Jill Scott. I had an amazing time last night  at this event, I love live music. The Roots was the in-house band for the evening. Check out some of the photos below taken with my iPhone to give you a view of what to expect tonight. If you're following me on twitter or Instagram then you've already enjoyed a live play by play. I entered the venue excited to see Florence + the Machine but I left the venue amazed by Sharon Jones fancy footwork and the eccentric style of Miss Erykah Badu. Don't forget to tune in tonight on VH1, its a show you do not want to miss!

It's me, the the guy that's everywhere!

"The World's First Social Camera" The Hipstamatic D-Series App

iPhone photo app maker Synthetic thinks it has found a way to combine the suspense of analog film with digital convenience through the new Hipstamatic D-Series app for iOS.

The D-Series — billed as a “disposable camera for iOS” — allows groups of iPhone-toting friends to share a batch of 24 shots. Friends invite one another through Facebook to shoot to a specific roll. As everyone shoots their own photos — from the same party, same town, or anywhere wirelessly connected — the amount of shots left decreases, just like an old-school roll of analog film.

Also like analog film, no one can see what’s being shot while the D-Series roll is in progress. But once the final shot is used, all the participating friends are delivered the entire batch of 24 photos, arranged chronologically and with labels saying who shot what. Users are then free to share those individual images with whomever they please.

The D-Series is available free in the Apple App Store and includes one camera, while an in-app purchase option will initially allow users to buy three other 99-cent cameras with different effects.
Click Here to get more info about the Hipstamatic D Series app and download from the official site.

I attended the Sequins & Suits event hosted by The Fashion Bomb Daily and Suit Dreams last night at Parlor NYC. There was wall to wall people, every guy was wearing a suit and every woman was wearing some sort of Sequin material. This was a great crowd of individuals with their own individual sense of styles. I finally met the founder of Fashion Bomb Daily, the amazing Miss Claire, she's great by the way. Claire and I had had a few discussions throughout the evening and she also conducted a video interview of me regarding my feature on her site last month on 11/11/11. I had a great time, met a lot of new interesting people and also saw a few familiar faces. Recap: Klout Chevy Sonic Party NYC

I was invited by Klout & Chevy to celebrate the release of the all new Sonic Chevy in NYC. This event was great despite the nasty weather. I attended the event with my sidekick Shunty J, as soon as we entered the venue we were greeted with a coat check and name badges with our names and twitter handles printed on them. There was an open bar serving us endless wine and beer along with snacks throughout the night. Shunty and I spent alot of time goofing around and tinkering with the new Chevy Sonic and it's a pretty great looking vehicle, I can't wait to take it out for a test drive which I will also blog about in a later post. They held a raffle for everyone in attendance, I won the grand prize which was a Limited Edition Tokidoki cell phone and Shunty won a t-shirt. Overall, I had an amazing time...the networking was just as rewarding as the prizes.

Music Video: "Nemotional" by Nemo Achida

Here's the latest visual from Nemo directed by Luke Sirimongkhon. I'm definitely feelin this video and the inspiration behind it. Kudos to the fam out in Lexington, KY.

"The Nemotional video is about the imprisonment of artists. Creating, doing as much as you can to please the consumer. In a way, we don't own ourselves. The media/press, "in-crowd", tastemakers all can make/break you. I'm blind-folded throughout most of the visual because, you do all of this work, with no true-certainty of a flourishing-future....I hope you all enjoy my vision...PEACE x POWER." - NEMO ACHIDA

Shaq Joins The NBA on TNT

Are you ready for some NBA Basketball? I know I am! I've always been a fan of the NBA on TNT especially for the funny commentary from Sir Charles Barkley, but things will be taken to a whole new level when Shag joins the team on Christmas Day. I was a fan of Shaq as a kid when he played for the Orlando Magic, I can't wait to see the antics of Shaq, Charles, & Kenny. This is definitely a gift for the fans, check out Shaq's crazy NBA on TNT music video.

I've posted two of the photos I tweeted during the shoot along with the full feature film. Shoutout to my best friend Izzy Baby for inviting me to be apart of this, she's the girl in the photo with me, she also actually shot that hole-in-one during the mini golf scene. Also shoutout to the Feva Gang for hookin me up with my new pink hat and providing free breakfast and mini golf lol. I can't leave out Nimi, he's definitely one of the dopest videographers I've worked with.

Beyonce "Dance For You" Video Teasers

This video will be featured on the deluxe edition of Beyonce's "Live at Roseland" DVD special, out November 29th. "Dance for You" is one of three tracks featured as bonus material on the deluxe version of 4. The track was produced by The Dream and features writing credits from Tricky Stewart and Beyoncé. This video looks very VERY interesting, I can't wait to see it. My favorite teaser of the two, is the second one below.

The Muppets Movie Review

The new Muppets movie hit theaters today, I had the chance to check it out last night. I've been anticipating the release of this film for a very long time because I grew up as a fan of the muppets. I still love the Muppets in Manhattan film, this movie was by no means as great as that one. This new muppets movie was definitely not what I expected, the commercial didn't say anything about this being a full blown glee style musical. I liked the singing of the previous films because it was singing by the muppets, this film had too much human singing and it comes off as cheesy and corny. I did love seeing all the characters from my childhood back on the big screen, but the horrible singing and Mary Poppins style dancing killed that  joy immediately. I rate the Muppets movie a 3 out of 5 stars. Go see this film if you have a small child that enjoys musicals, there's a few laughs here and there as well.

PHOTOS: Eagles vs. Giants Game

Last night, I was invited to the Eagles vs. Giants game by my friends Darryl Tapp & Tiffany Tapp. I am a friend before I am a fan so I definitely had to rock the Eagles gear to support them. I was heckled by random strangers as I entered Giants Stadium in my green attire, but at the end of the night I got the last laugh because the Eagles won! I had a great time, great seats, and great company. Check out a few of the photos I took during the game to give you sort of a first person view of where I was sitting. All of these photos were shot using my iPhone 4S.

Music Monday: "Our Day Will Come" Amy Winehouse Tribute

Movie Review: "Breaking Dawn Part 1"

Over the weekend, I had the chance to see the new twilight movie "Breaking Dawn Part 1". I don't usually watch movies like this unless I'm on a date, I was actually pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The film had lots of awkward WTF moments but it still manages to keep you interested from beginning to end. The special effects in this movie are very impressive, kudos to the team responsible for that. I rate this movie a 5 out of 5 stars, it's a must see! If you're a guy please dont go see it alone, take your girl and you'll both have a great time. DO NOT immediately leave after the movie is over, there will be a small clip during the credits that hints to what will take place during the next film. I gotta admit, I went in to the theater expecting to not enjoy myself, but I left with anticipation for the sequel. Shoutouts to the AMC Dine in Theater in Edison,New Jersey for those amazing new Shrimp Tacos (pic below), definitely my new favorite movie food.

Music Monday: "Never" by Melody Angel

Many of you may remember Melody Angel from the Diddy reality show a while back that was on MTV. I've been following her career since that time and she's still creating music, you gotta admire the ambition to stick to your dreams. Here's a new video she released today, the video displays her rapping, singing, and guitar skills. Check it out and feel free to leave a comment.

Video: "Sweet" by Common (Explicit)

Why am I just now seeing this video? Common released this joint a few days and he seems pretty angry lol. The brotha is goin for somebody's neck, just listen to the lyrics. Common seems to be taking his music back to its roots, claiming back his throne, The COMMON SENSE era. The video was shot in Haiti, it will definitely strike some cords because people are not really used to seeing this side of Common. His latest album The Dreamer/The Believer will be in stores on December 20th.

New Music: "Love A Woman" by Mary J. Blige Feat. Beyonce

This is a track from Mary J. Blige's new album My Life II: The Journey Continues which is in stores this Tuesday. The song features two of the biggest names in R&B music, apparently its a song educating us on how to love a woman. I'm sure the ladies will love this post... ENJOY!

Video:"Lotus Flower Bomb" by Wale feat. Miguel

I meant to post this three days ago, but its better late than never.... this is one of the most popular songs on Wale's Ambition album. The video stars model Bre, this video isn't really as exciting as the song was when I first heard it but I'll let you form your own opinions.

Jennifer Williams Lucid Cosmetics Launch Party

Last night, I was invited by Jennifer Williams to attend the launch party of her new Lucid Cosmetics line. I don't really have a use for cosmetics but I had plenty of MUA friends to extend the invitation to. The event was held at the Big Drop NYC store on the Upper East Side. It was a nice intimate setting filled with many familiar faces from the entertainment world. I had a great time enjoying the complimentary moscato and treats. There were a lot of camera crews on hand filming this event so I'm guessing this will definitely be a scene in the next season of Basketball Wives. I live blogged from the venue last night on my "Terry In The City" page. Check out a few of the extra photos from my iphone below.

Free Mixtape: "Nemotional" by Nemo Achida

Here's a another TerryMcfly.com featured artist, Nemo Achida from Lexington, Kentucky. A few days ago he sent me an advanced copy of his latest mixtape "Nemotional" which is now available to the public because it has officially launched today!!!!! Download Nemotional for FREE at DJBooth.net.

If you enjoy this mixtape make sure you hit up Nemo on twitter @NemoAchida and tell em you heard about this album from Terry McFly.

"Nemotional is the way I see life, love, music, nature, religion, politics, etc. I take those beliefs, theories if you will...& create the soundtrack for a day in the life of a man/woman that feels EXACTLY like me. As for the recording process, it's simple. I chose a heap of killer beats & I slept with them. I was in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, & L.A. with these beats. The outcome was 12 tracks all dear to my heart. I'm a strong-believer that they will have a similar effect on you." - NEMO ACHIDA

"21 Jump Street" Movie Trailer (Explicit)

I saw this movie trailer earlier today and I almost fell out the chair laughing. I don't know why the heck its called 21 Jump Street because it doesn't seem to be anything like that old school television show at all lol. This movie definitely looks funny so check it out:

In Theaters March 16th 2012

Music Monday: "Boy or Girl" by Bow Wow

Wow!!!....very impressive video release from BowWow. This song right here is what hip-hop is about, it's about speaking from the heart, putting your feelings in your lyrics. As I watched this video, it made me think about the old songs Pac used to make about everyday life. The comparison makes me think about Pac's song "Letter to my Unborn Child", Bow Wow's concept is similar in few ways. I'm definitely feelin the new direction Bow is going with his music, I hope he keeps the heat comin.

Music Monday: "City Lights" by Gabrielle Findley

We have a special treat for you on this Music Monday, one of the TerryMcfly.com Featured Artists, Gabrielle Findley, has released her brand new song here first before its officially released next week. That means this is an EXCLUSIVE! so enjoy, feel free to post your thoughts about it and share it with a friend.

"Les Anges De La Mode" ( Angels of Fashion) Documentary

Whether you live in Los Angeles or have never been there, you may not even know what is going on in the fashion movement over there. Through this short documentary, filmed by Julien Boudet, you will find out everything you need to know about fashion and style in LA.

This is a pretty cool documentary, I have yet to visit LA. I feel like it's my home away from home. I would fit right in over there, especially within the skate culture.

"Never Leave Her" by T-Pain feat. Tay Dizm

At first I was very skeptical about listening to T-Pain without his signature auto-tune sound but this joint right here is DOPE! It has a very old school vibe, the video doesn't do the song much justice but close ya eyes and its actually a pretty good song This song will NOT be on T-Pain's upcoming album "rEVOLVEr", he says this song is for the fans.

New Video: "It Will Rain" by Bruno Mars

Video: Atrium X Kith Unveiling

A few days ago, TerryMcfly.com was invited to attend the unveiling of the new Atrium X Kith location in Brooklyn. Everything was amazing, even the invitation. They provided party buses to transport us from the Atrium Soho location to the actual party in Brooklyn. It was a mobile party going to a party, how cool is that? The venue was filled with plenty of big names from within the industry. DJ Clark Kent was on the 1's and 2's, Ryan Leslie performed some of his unreleased music for us, and there was a mini fashion show. To sum it all up, This was EPIC!!!!!!

Artist Spotlight: Jay Saint

A few weeks ago I was contacted by an upcoming artist asking me to listen to his latest single. As you all know, I only feature artists that I actually enjoy listening to, which means if you wanna be featured here you gotta have talent. I listened to the track that I was sent and I must've enjoyed what I heard because I'm sharing it with all of you.

Ladies and Gentleman, Meet Jay Saint!

Jay's latest single is titled "Heart on a Tight Rope" which is from his latest mixtape project "Amour Et La Guerre", which can be listened to and downloaded for free below.

Bio

Edgy beats, very catchy hooks, great verse and rhythms, an absolutely skilled and gifted Singer Songwriter, Jay Saint is an all around Artist. Jay’s music is perfection with the amazing ability to cross over from commercial Hip-Hop to Edgy Electro Pop/R&B and back. Jay Saint reveals a sensitive side of him with subtle messages and textures mixed in - all arranged perfectly to achieve maximum results.

With values originated from there Haitian & Dominican backgrounds, Jay’s parents had the right idea. They kept his mind focused on academics and athletics. Both students and faculty that had the opportunity to witness Jay at work, were amazed with his talents. Jay’s talent was a reality to others, but it wasn’t to him. Life growing up was challenging, both personally and financially. He paid and paved his own way through college, receiving a full scholarship to play football for Elizabeth City State University. Through all this, his creative mind never stopped writing music, producing music or performing music. In early 2009, the doors opened for the driven star. He was noticed by an A&R from Bad Boy records, which
gaining him a position to write for Bad Boy's elite acts at that time (Danity Kane, Day 26, Donnie Klang). Writing a full year for the label Jay branched off and decided to make is name a brand. Jay has been performing in NY elite club, building a loyal fan base that adores what he stands for, "Work hard Feel Good".

He shows a consistency in style, performance and all around talent which is a mark of a true Recording Artist. Jay's music catches your attention and holds it for a long time. There aren’t many artists that can do that anymore. You can listen to one song and lose your attention quickly. That beat, the rhythm and that fresh new tone keeps you captivated right from the start. His alternative style of Pop/R&B mix in with is unique Island tone, singing messages that are inspiring is what the industry needs. Being compared and called a young "Akon", Jay strives to be the first Jay Saint. That position is definitely up for grabs. He's humbling personality, undeniable talent and drive for sucess, without doubt makes him destined for greatness.

New York Comic Con 2011: Max Payne 3

During New York Comic Con last weekend, Rockstar Games invited me to check out two of their new titles. I got to explore two levels of Max Payne 3 and play the new Grand Theft Auto game for the ipod/ipad. They wouldn't allow me to take photos of the new GTA game but they did however provide a pretty cool trailer of Max Payne 3, created entirely from in-game footage, to share with all of you. Check out the trailer below and comment:

Max Payne 3 takes place several years after the events of Max Payne 2. Still haunted by his past, Max leaves the NYPD and the United States to take a job in executive security and protection at the suggestion of Raul Passos, a former acquaintance from his early days on the police force.
As a first in the series, Max Payne 3 will feature a fully realized multiplayer component that will fit seamlessly alongside the single player game.
