Music Monday: "Where Have You Been" Video By Rihanna

Music Monday: "4Eva N A Day" Video By Big K.R.I.T (Explicit)

Fuerza Bruta With Guest Star Usher

Over the weekend, Usher joined the cast of Fuerza Bruta for a very special  limited performance. This was a once in a lifetime kind of thing, Usher was only a member of the cast for two shows and that was it. I had the honor of being able to attend one of the shows this weekend. Usher did an amazing job, he took over the role as the main character "Running Man". The soundtrack  of the show was remixed to play unique versions of Usher's music during his scenes. It was cool to see Usher performing all the theatrics of the off broadway show, he seemed very comfortable in the role. I tried to record video and take photos of the show but it was prohibited this time because of Usher. I did manage to sneak a few photos on my iPhone, yall know I don't listen LOL.Check out some of the photos I captured during the show, please excuse the blurriness because it's hard to FOCUS a camera when you're snapping photos in a prohibited setting.

The Day I Met Rodney King

I had the amazing opportunity to meet and speak with Rodney King today, it's the 20th year anniversary of the brutal police beatings that Rodney suffered at the hands of the LAPD which led to the infamous LA Riots. Rodney King spoke with me and other members of the Hudson Union Society about the 1991 incident and he also shared his thoughts on recent cases such as Trayvon Martin & Sean Bell.  He did not just simply refer to the 1991 incident where he was brutally beat by the LAPD, he went into full descriptive detail of what exactly happened on that night before the cameras were turned on and also after the cameras were off. It was monumental for me to hear history from the actual person that survived it. Rodney King even reenacted his exact body movements and dialog of what was being said to him as he was beaten. Rodney King spoke about the recent slaying of Trayvon Martin. Rodney said that the sound of Trayvon Martin crying out for help was the same sound of his cries as he fought for his life trying to survive in 1991.  This meeting with Rodney King was priceless. Revisiting the old stories was heart wrenching but Rodney's spirit to make something positive come from all of this  was very admirable. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet Rodney King and his wife, he was surprised when I told him that I was only 7 years old at the time of the incident. Rodney King is currently traveling around the country promoting his new memoir book "The Riot Within", make sure you check it out if you're near a book store.

Fuerza Bruta

Yesterday, I was invited by a friend to check out an off Broadway show called Fuerza Bruta. I didn't know anything about this show except for the fact that it received raving reviews and the tickets were about 100 bucks a piece. From what I read online I assumed it was some sort of trapeze act but it was way more than that. This show was an experience, there's so much going on that you feel like you're taking drugs while sitting in the ocean of a bizarre parallel universe. And yes I had to say all that to describe it lol, this show makes you feel as if you're in some sort of sci fi music video. This is a truly an interactive show, the show last about 70 minutes and you view it standing up. The cast interacts with the audience and you soon feel as if you're actually a part of the show and not just watching it. First time viewers will be a nervous wreck because you never know whats going to happen next and if it will involve you moving around the room. The part of the show that blew my mind the most was the people swimming above the audience. I've captured a few videos and photos to share with those of you that like to live vicariously. Check out the photos and videos and feel free to leave a comment.

Movie Review: Think Like A Man

I had no clue of what to expect from the movie "Think Like A Man", I've never read the book at all. I thought it would be a film that bashes men and encourages women to be players, I was so far off with that assumption. "Think Like A Man" was an AMAZING film, men & women can both learn a lot from this movie. The movie has an amazing soundtrack with a mixture of classic and new songs from the official motion picture soundtrack. The movie features an all-star cast of actors, even the people with brief appearances are major actors. There's plenty of eye candy for both the men & women, expect to hear alot of the word "DAMN!" from both sexes in the theater. The characters of this movie were so well developed that everyone will find someone in the film that they can relate to. If there was an MVP of the film, it would definitely be Kevin Hart. Kevin Hart will have you in tears laughing from beginning to end. "Think Like A Man" is TERRY MCFLY APPROVED! ...A MUST-SEE! I rate it a 5 out of 5.

 Movie Synopsis:
Four friends conspire to turn the tables on their women when they discover the ladies have been using Steve Harvey's relationship advice against them.

Music Monday: Tupac Back!...Literally! (Explicit)

Last night, The late great Tupac Shakur graced the stage in holographic form at Coachella 2012. Tupac performed "Hail Mary" and "Amerikaz Most Wanted" alongside former Death Row label mate Snoop Doggy Dogg. Even though it was just a hologram, it was pretty surreal for me to see. I felt like a kid again watching Snoop and Pac on stage together.

Intel & IFB: #UltrabookStyle Fashion Show

Intel partnered with IFB (Independent Fashion Bloggers) for a fashion show promoting the new Ultrabook laptop. The event was called "Inside Generation Style" and it featured all fashion bloggers walking the runway instead of models. They also raffled off two brand new laptops to two randomly selected guests. The event included lots of snacks and cocktails, the setting was very nice. It was like attending an off-season fashion week presentation. I'm almost positive that this was a filming for a new Intel commercial due to the fact that they made all of us sign release forms upon entering the venue. I had a great time networking and socializing with the other bloggers from within the fashion industry. Check out some of the cool photos below that were taken from my front row seat using my iPhone.

Video: "Take Care" By Drake Feat. Rihanna

Finally the video for Drake & Rihanna's popular song from his sophomore album of the same title has been released. The video is cool but I expected more, I would've loved to see them pay homage to Gil Scott-Heron somewhere in this video, after all he did create the original version and his voice is the sample. I do however love that the video is shot in top of the line HD, check it out and feel free to posts your thoughts.

Google's Project Glass

A few days ago, a friend sent me a video on my phone. At first I didn't really know what the heck I was watching, I thought it was some sort of video game or cell phone commercial. It was far much cooler than what I thought it was, that is if it actually does what it seems to be doing in this video. It's actually a video of special glasses that Google is designing. These glasses pretty much make life look as if it's a video game, some very futuristic movie stuff here. The glasses don't really have a name, it's just known as Google Project Glass. Below, I've posted a description of what Project Glass is and the video that was sent to my phone. Prepare to be AMAZED!

We believe technology should work for you — to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don't.

A team within our Google[x] group started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment.

Chevrolet NYIAS 2012 Press Conference Recap

On April 4th, 2012 Chevrolet held a Press Conference at the New York International Auto Show to reveal their latest vehicle to the press. They unveiled the 2014 Chevy Impala. They invited to come check it out. It was a very impressive car but I was more impressed with the 1966 Impalas that they had on the show floor during the presentation, maybe its my passion for the old school. I've posted a video of the 2014 Impala along with photos that were taken on my phone during the event.

Chevrolet Cocktail Reception (Photos)

The Chevy team once again occupied the Manhattan  Classic Car Club in NYC. Chevy held a cocktail reception to kick off the NY Auto Show week in style. There was valet parking and limited edition corvettes everywhere inside the venue. The food served was so amazing, they served lobster as an appetizer! I love lobster so you know I was having a good time. The party was a great networking opportunity, it was our chance to relax and get to know the people that we met at the discussion panel event. I would love to elaborate further but I must catch some sleep now to prepare for the Chevrolet Press conference tomorrow morning. Check out some of the photos from the event below, these were taken on my phone.
