Movie Review: "Man On A Ledge"

Over the weekend, I went to see the new movie "Man On A Ledge". I did not want to see this movie initially because I felt that the title was too basic. I decided to practice what I preach and not judge a book by it's cover, and besides there was nothing else new playing this weekend at the box office so I didn't have many options to choose from. The movie starts with the man standing on the ledge, my first thoughts were "Welp, that's the whole movie right there, he just got on the ledge! Movie Over!" I got more than I bargained for, it was actually a very enjoyable film. I loved that the movie was set in my favorite city, New York City! The film also had lots of theatrics and techy scenes, kinda reminded me of the mission impossible films. Overall, Man on the Ledge is definitely worth going to the box office to see. I rate this movie 4 out of 5 stars, Terry McFly Approved!

An ex-cop turned con threatens to jump to his death from a Manhattan hotel rooftop. The nearest New York Police officer immediately responds to a screaming woman and calls dispatch. More Officers arrive with SWAT and tactical command along with fire-fighters. The police then dispatches a female police psychologist personally requested to talk him down from the ledge. However, things aren't as straightforward and clearcut as they appear to be.

Video: "Harlem State of Mind" Mini Documentary by A$AP (Explicit)

A$AP Rocky and the A$AP Mob gave Dazed Magazine’s Tim Noakes a guided tour of their favorite spots around NYC. Very interesting mini documentary with a great soundtrack by A$AP Rocky himself. I like a lot of their style choices, I'm definitely feeling the studded leather biker jacket.

Movie Review: Red Tails

I just left the premiere of Red Tails and it was far much better than I expected. The film has a great African American cast of actors, I love how the young veteran actors play commanding roles and the younger actors play rookie characters. Red Tails is more than just an entertaining film, it's a history lesson, which is why everyone is encouraged to go see it. The film has its moments where you can tell there was a lack of funding but it does not ruin the immersion, Red Tails is one of the first films that didn't put me to sleep. If you know me then you know I sleep in every movie, lol. I enjoyed every single dog fight of Red Tails, and I'm not just saying that because some of my friends had roles. Each character has their very own unique personality, one of the lesser known fan favorites will most definitely be Joe "Lightning" Little, portrayed by actor David Oyelowo. I also loved the styling of the wardrobe in this film, I'm now on the search for a vintage pilot hat with goggles as well as a leather jacket with sheep lining. Red Tails is definitely "Terry Mcfly Approved!", a must see film for the entire family. I will be going to see it again, WE FIGHT! WE FIGHT! WE FIGHT!

Red Tails is a film about a crew of African American pilots in the Tuskegee training program, having faced segregation while kept mostly on the ground during World War II, they are called into duty under the guidance of Col. A.J. Bullard (Terrance Howard).

Recap: Private Nneka Performance In NYC

Two nights ago, I was invited to attend a private acoustic performance by Nneka. The performance was held at Cielo's on the west side. It was a nice intimate setting filled with some of the music industry's elite. I don't know why I was there lol, I had a great time and ran into alot of old friends. I stopped at my new favorite eatery, Cafeteria for dinner. I posted two videos and a few photos below for those of you that like to live vicariously.
