Fashion Week Spring 2012: Mackage SS12 Collection

Fashion's Holiday is finally here, Fashion Week! My Fashion Week actually started a day earlier than most but that didn't bother me at all. The first show I attended yesterday morning was the "Mackage" show. If you're unfamiliar with Mackage, theres a bio about the brand below. These photos are directly from my camera so that you can live vicariously in the moment, make sure you're following me on twitter @Terry_Mcfly for exclusive photos and commentary from FNO and NYFW.

The Mackage SS12 Collection is a statement of the designer's trademark dramatic tailoring, with a 50's undertone.  Within the Collection, ethereal lightness is underscored by a structured masculinity. Eran and Elisa played with different textures, giving lightness to leather and a stricter sharper form to satin and linen. The Mackage SS12 palette was inspired by the soft, serene shades of dusk, when daylight recedes and cool light infuses the city with tranquility.

ABOUT MACKAGE:

Canadian natives and childhood friends, Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan launched Mackage in 2000 as an outwear line -- the first women’s ready to wear collection debuted in 2009. The designers each infuse their personalities and unique vision into the design, resulting in a collection with great balance. Season after season, Mackage creates classic coats and separates with a sexy, modern edge and the brand’s signature sleek, chic silhouettes. For more information, please visit www.mackage.com.
