Last night, I attended the taping of VH1's "Divas Celebrates Soul 2011", which airs tonight at 9p/8c on VH1. The show is a tribute to the top cities of soul music which includes Detroit, Chicago, Memphis, London, & Philadelphia. The biggest Divas in entertainment highlight the show with one of a kind performances. A few of the big name performers are Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Florence + the Machine, Anita Baker, Mavis Staples, Jessie J, & Jill Scott. I had an amazing time last night at this event, I love live music. The Roots was the in-house band for the evening. Check out some of the photos below taken with my iPhone to give you a view of what to expect tonight. I entered the venue excited to see Florence + the Machine but I left the venue amazed by Sharon Jones fancy footwork and the eccentric style of Miss Erykah Badu.
